Dr. Cordell Pickering - Idaho Falls/Rexburg

Dr. Cordell Pickering was born and raised in the great state of Idaho, more specifically Idaho Falls. After graduating from High School, where he played football, baseball, and wrestled, he attended Utah State University for his undergraduate degree in Human Movement Science. Dr. Pickering completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. Since high school, Cordell knew that he wanted to be a physical therapist and business owner. Pick PT is the realization of that desire.

Dr. Pickering has special interests in orthopedics, spine, sports, and vestibular rehab. During the last year of his doctorate, Dr. Pickering had clinical rotations at the following locations: Spine Rehab clinic in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Vestibular and Balance center in Idaho Falls, ID, and Acute Neuro Rehab/ ICU Neuro Rehab at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. Dr. Pickering also spends time helping to manage some of his family’s portable storage and towing businesses in Idaho Falls.  When Cordell is not in the clinic treating patients or assisting in family business matters, he loves spending time with his wife and three kids, soon to be four.  As a weekend warrior, Cordell likes to camp, fish, hike, play sports of every kind, and other outdoor recreational activities. He is excited to be a part of the Rexburg community and to help those around him.

Nathan Hunsaker - Ammon

Nate was raised in western Wyoming. He has four children, two boys and two girls, with his wonderful wife Audra, and two grandsons that are way more fun than his children ever were. Nate finished his undergraduate degree at Utah State University in 1995 and completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) at the University of the Pacific in 1997. He went on to complete his transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2014 from the Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions.

Nate has been with Pick PT since 2018 in a consultation role but has recently joined the Rexburg clinic as a full-time clinician. Nate earned his certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in June of 2010, his certification as a Spinal Manual Therapist from the International Spine & Pain Institute in 2012, and a certification in dry needling in 2018. In 2022 a certification in vestibular rehabilitation, He is currently working towards certifications in therapeutic neuroscience education and rehabilitation.

Nate’s previous work experience includes 15 years at RehabAuthority physical therapy in Idaho Falls where he worked with patients with various orthopedic injuries. He began his work as a physical therapist back in 1997 on the acute rehabilitation unit at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls where he worked for 9 years. Nate has always been exceptionally interested in geriatric orthopaedics, spine rehabilitation of acute, chronic and post-op varieties, as well as stroke and spinal cord rehabilitation.

Nate is very excited to continue combining his advanced orthopedic skills with Pick PT’s scientifically proven methods in the treatment of orthopedic injuries to help patients “live life moving.” When Nate is not in the clinic treating patients, he is likely to be hiking. He has “bagged” all of the nine 12,000+ foot peaks in Idaho and most of the Tetons. He is also an avid cyclist and the #1 grandpa in the world according to his grandsons.

Dr. Lindsay Baxter - Rigby

Dr. Lindsay Baxter was raised in Rexburg and is excited to be working so close to her hometown. Dr. Baxter graduated from Madison Senior High School where she enjoyed participating in choir and running on the cross-country team. She also attended Ballet Arts in Rexburg, where she danced for thirteen years until graduating from high school. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Utah State University with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy. She later attended Idaho State University where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.

During her time at ISU, Dr. Baxter had clinical rotations in various locations, including Orem Community Hospital Pediatric Rehab, Kootenai Health Outpatient Rehab, and Quinn Meadows Rehabilitation and Care Center. Her very first clinical rotation was with Pick PT in Rexburg. She is thrilled to be back working with such an incredible team and is excited to be at the Rigby location.

Dr. Baxter’s clinical areas of interest include women’s health, pelvic floor therapy, and neurological conditions including Parkinson’s Disease and spinal cord injuries. She has certifications from Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute in pelvic floor physical therapy and is a great advocate of women’s health and promoting physical therapy as the standard of care following pregnancy.

Lindsay’s favorite activities include dancing, rock climbing, running, and hiking. Other interests include reading, cooking, and making art. She is a firm believer in the importance of movement for physical and mental well-being, and loves getting to connect with her patients and help them live life moving.

Dr. Cris A. Walters - Rexburg

Cris graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1994 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree.  She also received a bachelors degree in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Chemistry and Physical Science from NAU. Cris later earned a doctor of physical therapy from the University of Montana.   She has many years of experience in orthopedics and spine care, total joint rehabilitation, gait analysis, geriatric rehabilitation, and manual therapy.

Cris has a special interest in manual therapy techniques, regenerative medicine, and human performance in sports.  She believes that a positive attitude and caring atmosphere can assist patients in recovery and living life to the fullest.

As a native of Rexburg, Cris loves living in this area.  Prior to returning to southeast Idaho, she worked in a busy outpatient clinic in Utah that was heavily based in spine care and manual therapy using a mechanical diagnostic approach.   From a young age she was fascinated by human movement and the art of caring for others.  She has been privileged to participate in humanitarian efforts in west Africa to help teach healthcare workers some skills to rehabilitate those in their native communities.

Cris is the married mother of three children who are the loves of her life.  She has many personal hobbies including, ultra-marathon running, reading, mountain biking, snowboarding, cross-country skiing or anything else that takes place outdoors.

Dr. Trevor Dimond - Idaho Falls West

Dr. Trevor Dimond was raised in a small town known as Mahtomedi, MN, which is just outside the Twin Cities. Trevor grew up with a passion for sports, specifically Football, Basketball, and Track & Field. After high school  Trevor moved west to Cedar City, Utah to attend Southern Utah University (SUU) to pursue an athletic scholarship in Track and Field. After completing a year of undergraduate work Trevor chose to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which took him to Florianopolis, Brazil. There he became fluent in Portuguese, grew a passion for serving others and helping those in need. Following his mission Trevor returned to Cedar City to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. While attending SUU, Trevor met and later married his beautiful wife, Shawni.

In 2012 both Trevor and Shawni graduated from Southern Utah University, Magna cum Laude. Trevor went on to obtain his doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Ut. He graduated from Rocky Mountain University in 2014 with a Faculty recognition award, for his outstanding performance throughout the DPT program.

Dr. Dimond has extensive rehabilitation experience with geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and more specifically spinal rehabilitation. He is currently pursuing certifications in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT) and Vestibular Specialist (CCVT) with future plans to open another Pick PT Physical Therapy clinic. When not at work he loves to spend time with his wife and not 1, not 2, but FIVE kids. They love to camp, swim, go sledding, and play family games together. Dr. Dimond is extremely excited to join the Pick PT family and to provide care for and serve the people that walk through the doors.

Dr. Matthew Matson - Rexburg

Dr. Matthew Matson is a native to Pocatello, Idaho where he graduated from Century High School. Upon graduation he served an LDS mission in Little Rock, Arkansas. He continued his education at Brigham Young University Idaho where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. While there, he met and married his beautiful wife, Lindsey. Following his undergraduate education, Dr. Matson attended graduate school at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.

Dr. Matson had a clinical rotation at the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT working with varying levels of spinal cord injuries. He also completed a rotation at the Vestibular and Balance center in Idaho Falls, ID working with vestibular conditions such as: BPPV, 3PD, Mal de Débarquement Syndrome, Vestibular migraine, and Concussion.

Matt enjoys many hobbies including mountain and road biking, hiking, rock climbing, camping, and running. Matt loves spending time with his wife and their 2-children Rohen and Oakley. Dr. Matson and his family are excited to be back in Southeast Idaho and to be a part of the PICK PT family. He is looking forward to serving the wonderful community of Rexburg!

Dr. Dillon Wray - Rigby

Dr. Dillon Wray and his family are excited to finally be back home in Southeast Idaho where he was born and raised. Dr. Wray graduated from Rigby Senior High School and later went on to serve an LDS mission in Asuncion, Paraguay where he learned and is now fluent in Spanish. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Exercise Physiology from BYU-Idaho followed with graduate school at A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. He has a passion for sports, especially baseball, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in Physical Therapy.

Dr. Wray had clinical rotations during the last year of his doctorate program at the following locations: TOSH Neuro – Intermountain Outpatient Neurotherapy services and Acute Inpatient Trauma ICU at Intermountain Medical Center both of which were in Murray, UT. He spent his final rotation here at Pick PT Physical Therapy and is excited to be able to return!

When not in the clinic, Dillon enjoys many hobbies including custom woodworking, camping, hiking, fishing, and playing sports and loves spending time with his beautiful wife Ashley and 4 children any chance he gets. He is excited to be back and anxious to give back to the wonderful community of Rexburg and soon-to-be Rigby!

Dr. Tyler Skanchy - Idaho Falls East

Tyler was raised in a Navy family and was raised on the coasts of Annapolis, Maryland and San Diego, California. His father was a sports medicine physician for the Naval Academy sports teams and that is where Tyler’s interests in rehabilitation really started. After completing his undergraduate degree of Exercise physiology, He went to Rocky Mountian University of Health Professions where he obtained his Docotorate of Physical Therapy degree.

Tyler has spent the past 2 years of his career working at RehabAuthority developing his skills in spine rehab along with a variety of orthopedic injuries.
When not in the clinic, Tyler enjoys playing almost every sport but has yet to embrace golf. unless you count mini golf which is a favorite of his. Even though he was raised a coastal boy, his family comes from Utah, taught him to ski. He loves the outdoors and frigid alpine lakes. He is excited to stay in the Idaho Falls area and get you back to “Living Life Moving”

Sheldon Hunting - Rexburg

Sheldon Hunting was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He has always taken pride in physical fitness. In high school he was physical education student of the year. Later, this pride for physical fitness developed into a passion for the anatomy and physiology of the human body; as he describes he likes to “nerd out” about this subject. He is an Idaho State University cum laude graduate with an associate degree in Applied Science.

Sheldon has experience in home health, geriatrics, pediatrics, inpatient, and outpatient. He plans on expanding his knowledge by getting certifications in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, strength and conditioning, and fascial distortion.

Sheldon has many hobbies, but competitive mountain biking is his favorite. He has had grassroot sponsorship from Trek and in 2019 he placed 5th overall in the Montana Enduro Series in pro male for mountain biking. Other hobbies include skate boarding, art, photography, cross country skiing, cliff jumping, and hiking.

Madison Haag - Idaho Falls West

Madison Haag is a native to East Idaho and grew up in a family dedicated to medicine and sports. From a young age she began participating in sports such as softball, volleyball, cheer, and dance which she carried into her time at Hillcrest High School. After graduation, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Idaho State University in 2020, then graduated from the PTA program at ISU in 2023. During her time at Idaho State University, she coached cheerleading for her Alma Matar, Hillcrest High School, and opened her own business, 208 Inflate.
Madison had clinical experience at Cache Valley Hospital in Logan, UT and Performance Therapy in Idaho Falls, ID where she learned various techniques in manual therapy and vestibular rehab. Her areas of clinical interest are concussion management, orthopedics, and spinal rehabilitation.
Madison is a proud wife to her USMC Veteran husband, Lance Haag. They currently love spending time with their three-year-old daughter doing anything outside such as boating, dirt biking, or eating popsicles on their porch. In June of 2024 they will be welcoming their second daughter to complete their family. Madison is excited to be working for Pick PT in Idaho Falls with Trevor Dimond, DPT, where they have created an amazing environment to help patients Live Life Elevated!

Kevin Blair - Ammon/Idaho Falls East

Kevin was born and raised in Yakima, WA and moved to eastern Idaho in 2014 to attend BYU-Idaho where he received his Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and associates in Physical Therapy Assisting. He later went on to get his license in massage therapy and has loved combining his knowledge of physical therapy with his massage practice. Kevin enjoys disc golf, rollerblading, and all the beautiful hiking Idaho has to offer. He spends most of his free time working on his house, going on walks with his wife and 2 dogs, or creating and designing his own board games.

Samuel "Sam" Hayes - Rigby

Samuel “Sam” Hayes was born and raised in Idaho Falls, where he attended Watersprings High School and graduated in 2017. Immediately after high school, Sam attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Health Science and an Associate’s in Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant, graduating in 2021.

While attending Idaho State, he met his wife, Shayley, and they married in July 2021. Sam became licensed in August 2021 and worked at various outpatient clinics in Idaho Falls before finding his way to Pick PT in Rigby. He is trained in Graston techniques and obtained his Graston certification in May 2023.

Sam plans to attend Briar Cliff University for PT school starting this June and hopes to return to Pick PT after completing his degree. He grew up playing sports and competed in varsity football, basketball, and golf at Watersprings High School. He continues to follow professional and college athletics and enjoys spending time with his wife, Shayley, and their dog, Ollie.

Harlee Speth - Rexburg

Harlee is from small town Saint Anthony, Idaho. She graduated and went on to play college volleyball and softball for two years
Eventually she moved on and graduated from Idaho State University with Associates of Applied Science with honors of Cum Laude and currently working on finishing Bachelors of Applied Science this fall.
Harlee enjoys playing sports, fishing, snowboarding, and spending time with family
She chose to be a PTA because she always thought the human body was fascinating along with the healing process of different injuries.

Liberty Smith - Rexburg

Liberty grew up in Rexburg, Idaho and began living life moving when she walked on the soccer pitch at 4-years-old. She always loved science class and, after meeting a Physical Therapist at her sophomore career day, went home and began learning the bones and muscles that night. She also enjoyed competing with the high school track team in hurdling and long jumping events.

After graduation Liberty continued her education at Brigham Young University – Idaho, receiving her PTA and Exercise Physiology degrees. She began her education due to her love of science but found a love for living active and increasing her physical abilities in the process.

Liberty’s favorite ways to keep active include volleyball, weightlifting, yoga, swimming and kayaking. She is always up for an active challenge and is most proud of her Lazyman Ironman that she completed over the course of 15 days. Other hobbies include baking, watercolor painting, playing instruments, and crocheting.

Olivia Johnson - Idaho Falls East

Olivia was born and raised in Idaho Falls where she fell in love with dance and the great outdoors. In high school she participated in the Hillcrest high school Knightline dance team and continues to dance in adulthood. She is currently pursuing an associate’s degree to further her education.

Olivia is strongly committed to patient care and efficiency. She has over 3 years of reception experience and strives to create a stress free, welcoming environment for patients. Patients can count on Olivia to guide them through various insurance complexities including coverage and benefits, claims, and billing inquiries. This ensures patients feel well informed, allowing them to focus on their recovery

Olivia’s favorite hobbies include dancing and snowboarding. When it snows, she loves to hit the fresh powder up at Kelly Canyon and Targhee. Her other hobbies include art, reading, listening to music and going to concerts.
