About Your Visit

If you are a new patient to Pick PT, let us guide you through your first visit so you can be prepared when you get to our clinic. We want you to feel like you belong at Pick PT, so if you ever have any questions during your visit, don’t hesitate to ask our friendly staff.

When should I get there?

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. This will allow you plenty of time to complete the necessary paperwork. To save time, you can download and print our Patient Forms and fill them out prior to your appointment.

Do I need to bring anything?

You should wear comfortable clothing like athletic wear, or bring a pair to change into.

For your first appointment, please bring the following:

  • Photo ID (valid driver’s license, valid state ID, valid passport, or school ID card)
  • Doctor Referral/Prescription, if needed.
  • Insurance Card

What should I expect at my first appointment?

A first visit generally lasts one hour. During this time, your physical therapist will evaluate you and discuss a treatment plan for moving forward. The evaluation will consist of assessing your pain levels, posture, functional deficits, flexibility, strength, balance, and endurance. Following this evaluation, you and your physical therapy (PT) will come up with an individualized treatment plan for recovery.

How long will each treatment last?

The appointment will vary depending on your diagnosis and the type of treatments being given. Treatment sessions can range from 45-60 minutes on average.
